The Mount Gambier Harness Racing Club has a long tradition of success, with harness racing at the Mount Gambier Showgrounds, Pick Avenue, for over 70 years.

The Club has 18 race meetings scheduled for the 2026/27 season, commencing on Tuesday night 13 October, and continuing through to June. The highlight of the season, the Matthews Petroleum Mount Gambier Pacing Gold Cup will be held on Saturday 20 February 2027, with the Cup Heats being held on Sunday 14 February 2027 (twilight).
