The Mount Gambier Harness Racing Club has a long tradition of success, with harness racing at the Mount Gambier Showgrounds, Pick Avenue, for over 70 years.

The Club has 10 standalone race meetings scheduled for the 2023/24 season, commencing on Friday 10 November, and continuing through to May. The highlight of the season, the Matthews Petroleum Mount Gambier Pacing Gold Cup will be held on Saturday 16 March 2024.

Pony trots is an exciting part of the Mount Gambier race meetings, with 2 fields of ponies thrilling the crowd.
